Mesa Plains is owned and operated by Sean Harris, a certified landman and FAA-licensed drone pilot with a deep-rooted connection to West Texas land and its management.

Sean earned his Professional Land Management Certificate through Midland College, and in 2016, he was awarded the Texas Farm Credit Advanced Ranch Management certification. His training includes focused studies in Grazing Management, Systems Thinking, Strategic Planning, Oil and Gas, and Property Law. He also holds a Certificate in Solar Energy Technology, further expanding his knowledge of sustainable land use and energy development.

Since 2010, Sean has actively managed his family’s land in West Texas — overseeing hunting and grazing leases, negotiating oil and gas contracts, and securing pipeline and other right-of-way agreements. These hands-on experiences, combined with his formal education, have shaped a practical, results-driven approach to land consulting and aerial surveying.

Through Mesa Plains, Sean now brings that same expertise to landowners, realtors, and developers — helping them see the full value of their property from above and on the ground.
